Please help Hydeia spread awareness on an epidemic that may no longer in the headlines but is still very prevalent right here in the US.
  • There are approximately 1.1 million people living with HIV/AIDS in the U.S.
  • An estimated 50,000 new HIV infections occur in the U.S. each year.
  • African Americans accounted for 47% of new HIV infections diagnosed in 2011, although they comprise only 14% of the population.
  • In 2010, 31% of all new infections occurred among people aged 25–34, followed by individuals aged 13–24 at 26%.
  • In 2010, about 12,000 young people, or about 1,000 per month, were infected with HIV.
We are asking that on January 17th to not only tune in but also help us spread awareness and after the airing discuss this important subject with family and friends.
Tweet it, put it on Facebook, tell your Mother, tell your Aunties, tell your cousins tell your neighbor, tell everybody you know.
