Why did you decide to be a WEEN Academy Mentor?
Being a Mentor for WEEN is something that I’ve been wanting to do for years. I’ve always been a mentor since my teens and haven’t really had a chance to give back once getting into the industry.

Tell us one interesting fact about your personal/or professional background that served as groundwork for you to become a mentor?
Making my dreams come true.

How did you build your personal/professional brand?
By understanding the business before jumping into it, always willing to learn and grow, & having great mentors and peers to motivate you along your journey,

What are two gems that you wish someone would have told you about the business?
That everyone isn’t loyal & to know your worth, don’t let anyone tell you different.

Who is/was your most significant mentor and why?
Atiba Newsome. He taught me the goods and the bad of styling, the highs and the lows. The two main that always stuck with me were: “There’s no such thing as a stupid question” “If you don’t ask, you’ll never know”

What are some things that you are doing to make the entertainment business a better place for women?
Having respect for myself and how I represent my brand. Giving younger female stylist an opportunity to grown in the styling business.

Who would play you in a modern day movie about your life and why?
Jennifer Hudson - She’s a strong, talented, woman who has made her dream come true.

What do you believe are important tools needed to survive in the entertainment industry?
Self Respect, Self Esteem, Confidence, Understanding the Business, Multitasking, with an Ambitious spirit

What do you consider to be your biggest accomplishment?
Making my vision come to life by becoming a talented Wardrobe Stylist who has made a name for herself. .

Famous or not: Name one woman who embodies what you think a real woman is and explain. Dead or alive
Wow.. So… many going through my mind. I believe any woman that is God fearing, persevering, realistic/humble, charismatic, and beautiful in their own way is what I think a real woman embodies. Too hard for me to pick just one.

I collect Fashion Magazines
