Why did you decide to be a WEEN Academy Mentor?
I decided to be a WEEN Academy Mentor last year. I participated in a classroom day and decided then I wanted to do more.

Tell us one interesting fact about your personal/or professional background that served as groundwork for you to become a mentor?
Something that serves as groundwork for me to become a mentor is my ability to pass the torch. I feel like in my professional life someone gave me the tools I needed early on in my career so I should be able to do the same for someone else. In regards to my personal life, I like to help people, no strings attached.

How did you build your personal/professional brand?
I built my personal brand through hard work and perseverance. I was consistently interning while in college and giving my all when I secured a position in the real world. From there, I learned that being kind

What are two gems that you wish someone would have told you about the business?
Two gems I wish someone would have told me about the business are the road is not instantly paved in gold and everything will eventually fall into place.

Who is/was your most significant mentor and why?
I have several mentors who have shaped my career life: one of which was my supervisor while interning at VH1, Luis DeFrank who I still speak to today and another my godmother Sabine Toussaint.

What are some things that you are doing to make the entertainment business a better place for women?
I am constantly sharing job opportunities or introducing people to one another. I believe that being a dot connector for women in this business especially will be beneficial for us all

Who would play you in a modern day movie about your life and why?
OMG I have no idea, I never thought about that to be honest…

What do you believe are important tools needed to survive in the entertainment industry?

Important tools needed to survive in the entertainment industry are self worth, a strong work ethnic and your own POV.

What do you consider to be your biggest accomplishment?

My biggest accomplishment thus far is getting to a place where i am able to help people. I truly believe in good karma.
